That resort has small pools. Does anyone have recommendations for hotels with lap pools or a public lap pool walking distance from the event? ---

You were asking for a lap pool which has been provided- you will have to research that information directly as if thongs are permitted. My guess is no. ---

The ocean is thong friendly and I see morning swimmers every year I am at SS swimming parallel to the shore. But like jtanguy said, you will have to research that on your own. ---

@HizurTees — Both locations (Fort Lauderdale Beach and Haulover Beach) are definitely very thong-friendly. In past years, some of us from SunSplash have made the drive from Fort Lauderdale down to Haulover Beach, but it can easily take about 45 minutes to an hour each way. Because of that, we’ve decided to stick with our regular spot on Fort Lauderdale Beach. We usually meet up at **Vistamar Street Beach** , located right along **A1A** , where many of the SunSplash thongers gather on the \*\*Saturday of the July weekend event. Agreed, I’m a guy and would rather hang out in a coed crowd. The Fort De Soto folks are trying to get something together could that one be guys and gals? I’m definitely interested if so. [Next page](https://www.thongforum.com/t/sunsplash-fort-lauderdale-thonger-weekend-july-2026/1055.md?page=2)
