I have. What is your Instagram? michael421107
I think “social” media are a bad idea anyway. I do not have an account on any of them. I think they overall bring more trash to our communities than something useful.
So I’ll never post on such media. In some fora I do post pictures, but always without my face visible.
Please do
I’d love to be able promote body positivity and freedom to wear what makes you feel good. The more similar minds there are, the better it would be to not be voiceless or forced into boxes or stereotypes
I am thinking of using the ‘close friend’ feature on my main IG to post my outdoor thong photos. Does anyone post their thong photos on their personal IG?
Once in awhile I post. thong pic at the beach on my personnel, but I have another account dedicated to it. My IG is: @hizurutees
Also have a deducted Insta account. Never post on my public account - don’t need the notoriety or grief. There are followers who wouldn’t care but equally there are a lot in the ‘men don’t wear thongs’ camp. Dedicated account means you’re part of a likeminded community. I know it doesn’t do much to promote men wearing thongs/gstrings but I think I do my bit in that regard by public beach/gym pool thonging
This week, I bit the bullet and posted an Instagram story of me tanning in a thong. I only allowed my close friends list to see the story, and 12 of my friends got to see it.
Their reactions were a mix of shock and disbelief. Some jokingly commented, “ah, my eyes”. One friend thought that I was posting a photo of my girlfriend, as he couldn’t believe that a guy would post a picture like that. One girl thought that I had been hacked and asked me why I would post my butt on IG.
I met up with my friends yesterday and explained the IG story to them. I shared that I wanted to break out of my shell as I was frustrated with being the same guy. They understood where I was coming and supported my freedom of expression.
So now my friends know that I tan in a thong. I don’t expect them to join me, but at least I don’t have to hide anymore.
One thing I have realized is that it is hard to understand someone’s true intention behind an Instagram post. Instagram is a visual platform, but it lacks context, tone, and intent.
That’s why I believe we need a dedicated forum like this, where we can express our opinions and feelings about wearing thongs in public. Photos alone cannot capture our true intentions and feelings. I was lucky to be able to share the meaning behind my IG story. Otherwise, my friends might have misunderstood my intent and come up with their own conclusions about me.
I have a private Instagram account just for that reason. I’ve had it for quite a few years, floridathonger.
I do! Love to see yours.
