I wear thong underware and swimwear because I love the way they look and feel on me . The liberating feeling i get when walking on the beach in a thong is priceless not to mention how sexy i feel wearing them.

To get an all over tan. Felling sexy wearing them, either as swimwear or underwear, is a plus. I wear swimwear briefs, swimwear thongs, and swimwear g-strings daily as underwear.

For me, I wear thongs daily as underwear. They make me feel confident in myself and help me feel good about my body. I’ve been able to love who I am more by embracing wearing Thongs and it has just over all helped me mentally in my daily life. Not to mention that they are super comfortable and in my line of work, help me keep cool in the hotter months. I haven’t had a chance to wear a thong in a public setting yet, but I do look forward to give it a go given the chance!

I probably have said this in another thread but I mainly wear them because they are the most practical and functional garment from tanning, swimming and hopping rocks. The comfort is unrivaled and because they follow the natural contour of the body, they stay put. I find that shorts, pants and even bikinis will ride down in the back, whereas thongs and tangas dont.
I’m not an exhibionist so I prefer more modest suits with a flat or low profile front. You don’t have to put everything on display to enjoy the minimal coverage of a thong. Even so, I also tend to go to less crowded parts of the beach. Of course I feel great wearing them and there is a health benefit to more sun and water on my skin.

I vary my swimwear based on the environment. On a typical beach with a mixed crowd including families I wear bikinis although I select ones with narrow sides and a hint of cheek. But if it’s an accepted thong beach I wear thongs that have more of a pushout pouch or small g-strings.

I have nothing original to contribute to the conversation, but I’ll echo the sentiments of many of you. For me, wearing a thong on the beach is about freedom. I’m unencumbered and unrestrained, free to move and feel the sun, sand, and surf against my entire body. I love the tan line it provides and feel hyper masculine when wearing a thong out in the open. It’s an exhilarating experience, and I’m thankful to be among so many who also understand and enjoy it.

All great reasons to wear thong swimwear. The key is to be confident and own it. It is also great to get compliments from others while wearing a thong on the beach. This has happened 4 times within the past couple of months and really makes my day. A great conversation starter as well.

I have long felt drawn to wearing thongs, ever since I first saw them on others. One of my earliest memories is from a family vacation, when we visited a water park. I saw two guys waiting in line for a slide, both wearing thongs. To me, it was the coolest thing I had ever seen.
I remember also watching ”Pacific Blue” after school with my sister in the late 1990s and early 2000s. The show always opened with scenes of women on the beach—tanning, roller skating, moving freely under the sun—most of them wearing thong bikinis. My sister couldn’t understand why anyone would choose to wear something like that.
I couldn’t understand her reaction, though I never said it to her. For me, those images symbolized freedom and confidence. I dreamt of feeling that same liberation, of being so at ease while wearing a thong. It took some time to get there, but today, when I wear a thong at the beach, I connect with that feeling. It’s about confidence, the warmth of the sun, and the joy of being truly at ease with myself.

Agree. Minimal tan lines but sometimes an obvious one from slightly thicker waist bands or jeweled back.

Im an exhibitionist as well, i’m over 50, l just love the feel of them. I am still a bit hesitant to wear them in some places.

My reasoning is very similar to this. I saw a woman wearing a thong swimsuit in Cancun when I was a preteen and was hooked. The freedom, joy, and beauty she exhibited was so inspiring for me.
By the time I was a you g teenager I started wearing thong underwear and felt super confident and love how it felt and looked on my body. I was teased throughout middle and high school by my teammates and “friends” for having larger glutes, but once I but on a thong, I felt proud and confident for having bigger glutes.
Also in HS I swam in thong underwear for the first time at my neighbors pool who my family was good friends with when they weren’t there, and that got me hooked even more. I loved the freedom of feeling the water and sun all over my body. I loved how confident and sexy I felt also.
Now in my mid 20s, I’ve embraced my larger glutes and wear my thong swimsuits unashamed and everywhere as much as I can.

I fell in love with thong swimwear years ago. They make me feel sexy. I love the look. The tan line is amazing. I like that they are unique for men to be wearing on a beach or at a resort/hotel pool.

My first public outing in a thong was in 2016. At the time, I was staying at my brother’s dorm, and there was a nude beach nearby. I went to the beach just to check it out and noticed many people in minimal swimwear. So, I took the plunge and stripped down to my thong underwear. It felt incredibly liberating to be out in public in a thong. In fact, I found the idea of wearing a thong much sexier than being completely naked.
After that first outing, I bought a few swim thongs, and I would occasionally wear them at the pool and the beach. Then during COVID, I needed to find a hobby that required social distancing. I went out on a beautiful day in May, and people were out in droves by the canal. Some women were tanning in their thong underwear, and they looked like they were really enjoying the sun. I wanted to have as much fun as they were having, and I realized I could tan in a thong while still keeping my distance. That’s how tanning became a hobby for me.
Now, I regularly thong in the sun from May to October. I like to wear a thong in public, as I see it as a form of self-expression. To the world, I appear to be just a regular guy, but wearing a thong swimsuit in public makes me feel unique and unconventional.

That was really well said. It’s nice to hear someone be honest about confidence and self-image instead of just trends. If wearing a thong makes you feel good in your own skin, that’s really all the justification anyone needs

I like to wear them because I think I look good in them and I feel very masculine while wearing one. I also like the freedom of movement.
