Yes, once you try it, you’ll be hooked. I wore my first thong swimsuit on South Beach, and it was an incredible feeling. It’s great being almost naked but still legal, and it’s perfect for tanning.
At first, it’s hard to get started—to take off the shorts and show the thong—but once it’s done, there’s no more problem. When I go to the beach, I no longer bring a backup swimsuit, so I have no choice but to wear the thong. Now, I don’t have many difficulties anymore; it has become normal.
Well said Tim. That really is the best way to go thonging.
I will go to the beach for the first time in a thong in a couple of months here in Florida. I already swallowed the IDC (I don’t care) pill.
I wore a white thong to the beach this past weekend. It definitely stood out today. I walked by more people then ever. I’m still gaining confidence of wearing a thong in public. Being around more people I got noticed and it helped me act like nothing was going on, act normal, though I know my favorite swimwear is not normal. I guess that’s what makes it so daring.
I purposely walked in front of a few ladies wearing thongs themselves and they noticed while their boyfriends were wearing board shorts. I’m sure I sparked a conversation with the lady daring their man to try out a thong. One girl smiled at me while holding her boyfriend’s hand. It was a compliment and not a gesture of trying to steal her away…though I wouldn’t mind . Saw plenty of of thongs on ladies today and they were rocking it. Hope they appreciate seeing a guy in a thong.
What helps my anxiety is I’ll bring cover-up shorts just in case. However, I never used it and half the time I forget to grab them when I go for a walk. I figure I’m in a thong, show the thong, don’t cover it up. I saw plenty of people comment and smile at my swimwear.
I wore a white tear drop g-string from the-bikini.com to a wave pool last summer. I wore it 3 days in a row. I was working on my “all over” tan. It was an exhilarating experience. I can’t wait to get out there in 2025.
As an unashamedly feminine guy with a nice body, I’m very happy to wear a thong bikini on the beach, and I love wearing teardrop g-strings, although I am a little careful if it is a ‘family’ beach. I tend to walk along the coastal footpath to find a beach a long way from any car park. Families with children tend to use only beaches with car parks.
Finally! For the first time on Saturday (4/12), I went to a public beach in a thong. I chose Apollo Beach in New Smyrna and the famous Lot 5. This part of the beach is clothing optional, and while you can be nude, nudity isn’t my thing, but it’s a good place to break the ice. I wasn’t the only one there wearing a thong, there was another man wearing a thong as well probably for the same reason. I wasted no time and immediately took off my shirt and shorts; the weather was perfect and for this occasion, I chose to wear a Grand Axis swim thong. The feeling and experience were incredible, the spot was very nice, and everyone else was enjoying themselves and minding their own business, I took several walks, which was very relaxing besides, I got to sunbathe, which I was so desperately missing. I was there from 9:30 a.m. to 5:30 p.m., almost the entire day, but I really enjoyed it. I plan to go back there again, it’s a 45 minutes drive for me so If anyone wants to join, let me know. This is only the beginning because I’m planning to go to other places and for that reason I probably have to buy a few more swim thongs.
FYI: The pass is $25 per car and is valid for 7 days, including the day of your first visit also parking space is limited in all lots so going early is recommended, open from 6:00 a.m. to 8:00 p.m.
I’m in the Central Florida area and would love to join you. It’s been awhile since I have been to Apollo.
Thongs and g-strings are legal on all beaches in Volusia County. This is where I first thonged on a public beach 5 years ago. I spent 2 weeks on all the beaches wearing nothing more than a tear drop g-string from the-bikini.com. I spent most of my time on Daytona Beach, but I also went to Ormond Beach, Daytona Shores Beach, New Smyrna Beach, and Apollo Beach. As soon as I got to Apollo Beach, off came the g-string. It was the best two-week vacation in my life. I need to get back to Florida to get that all-over tan back!
Additionally, if you purchase an annual America the Beautiful pass, it grants access to all National Parks, National Historical Sites, National Seashores, etc. Apollo Beach is included in the Cape Canaveral Seashore. Now that I am 62, I plan to buy a one-time purchase Senior Pass.
Thank you @Bonzo69 for the info about the America the Beautiful pass. It makes sense to buy it (in my case a year pass) if I’m gonna visit Apollo Beach again and other parks.
