Burning PTO for beach days

I’m jacked for this summer. Ready to burn all my paid time off / vacation days and live at the beach whenever my schedule allows. Does anyone else do the same or do you guys mostly go on weekends?

I travel a lot for work so hoping that I can mix in some mid-week trips to the nearest beach or lake after my typical mid-morning meetings.

I figure if other people in my position can disappear and play a round of golf, why the heck can’t I disappear and go sun my buns?

I agree with both of you completely. My biggest concern is getting the right weather to take the day off!

Summer is for the beach/pool. The rest of the year is for golf.

Ha, I agree!

In fact, I just played hookie for two hours and laid out in my thong in 77 degree weather on a lake in NH. It was great!

Rain here in Ohio! What lake? Wish we could see….

The lake is called Lake Winniepesaukee.

I’ve heard of that one and have been to Lake Sunapee.

I do the same. I take most Fridays off in the summer especially when the weather is nice for sunning. I go to the gym then hit my fav beach on the Mpls chain of lakes. Thongs are super popular there on women for sure. I counted about 15 different guys in thongs throughout the year last year. There are about 4 of us regular thongers at the beach. I’ve been out 5 times so far this year. Once on a Sunday and the rest after work on weekdays. Cooler weather for a week then I will be taking most Fridays off again.

Whats good etiquette when you see a fellow male thonger? Just smile and wave or give a thumbs up, idk, lol.

I think a smile and a wave is fine. Treat others like you’d like to be treated.

However, I’d avoid anything that even remotely resembles like you are trying to pick the guy up for two reasons: 1) Lots of us are straight 2) It can appear to other beach goers that you are cruising and I can easily see how that would make them uncomfortable which could also in turn ruin it for everyone involved, including other thong wearers.

I think it’s great that other guys are comfortable enough to wear thongs on the beach. We generally acknowledge each other but haven’t really chatted. One guy walks around a lot and ‘cruises’ the beach. The others mind their own business.

Which beach is your favorite for thonging in Minneapolis?

It is East Cedar Lake Beach. Cedar Lake is on the mpls chain of lakes. There are 3 beaches on Cedar lake and this is the best by far. Bde Maka Ska is alos good. It has 3 beaches as well and any of those 3 are good for sunning in a thong. Cedar Lake has the clearest water and the East beach has the best vibe of all beaches on the chain of lakes.

This is going to sound horrible but I’m going to say it anyway. There is no need to acknowledge another man in a thong. Socially I’m an introvert and I’m not there to make friends. A simple hello as you walk by is great, as I do the same when I walk past anyone and make eye contact, but please … please … do not approach me and insist on having a conversation about thongs. The beach I use to frequent has several regulars and two or three who insisted on trying to talk to me every time I’m there. I now feel like I understand how an attractive woman feels when constantly getting hit on. I’m polite to them, but read the room. To make matters worse they will wander up and down the beach stopping to talk to anyone and everyone. Sorry for the rant. :joy:
