I am going to Corpus Christi in a few weeks. I’ve worn thongs on the National Seashore of North Padre Island. The federal rangers patrolling just wave. Anyone been to Mustang Island beaches?
Nope, but I’ll put it on the list. Seems as I gotten bolder with wearing a thong to the beach it really doesn’t matter where you go. I still won’t go to super packed beaches but you can find gems everywhere.

I’ve worn thongs and G strings on mustang island for years! Never had an issue. If you get there early or a weekday get a picnic table and cabana shade area for your cooler and chair. You can hang out and walk to and from the beach instead of just being in the sun all day. You won’t see many in thongs there and you might be the only one but its a nice area
I just returned from NPI. The weather was less than ideal, winds 10-20 mph, cloudy, The National Seashore was sparsely attended. The first few miles of the driving beach to the west (or south of you prefer) only had 3 or 4 other people. I had no issues spending an afternoon in a thong.
