Has anyone ever taken a Speedo brief to a seamstress and had it converted to a thong? I’d like to have a couple of my Speedos converted to a whale tail type thong for pool days.
In my neck of the woods, it costs my girlfriend $40 to get a skirt hemmed. My guess is that what you are asking is more difficult and would cost more. I guess the question is, why not just buy new suits? It’s probably cheaper, and you’ll probably get better results.
Your mileage may vary, maybe you can get this work done very inexpensively.
There is a person on EBAY selling converted speedos. Maybe you can send them to them to be converted?
@cambridgeguy A bit of a running joke with my wife. She says I can wear a Speedo wherever I want.
@SilverFoxDad … thanks. I’ll check them out.
I’ve taken dozens of thongs to a local dry cleaners to have the pouch reduced, not regular swim briefs. This is the Jaxfstk swim thong from Aliexpress. I’ve had the pouch reduced by 1.5 inches to be flatter.
No, however this makes me want to try it. I make my own swimwear and have 4 identical speedo suits I almost never wear. Maybe I’ll try it on one of those.0
145 is a bit steep for who ever is making the speedo thong on eBay. Would love to have one though
At that price, it should be made from hand-dyed spider silk and sewn by water faeries. Geez.
I have a limit of $50 US on any thong swimwear. Yes that eliminates most, unless there’s a sale.
