This is good to know, thanks!. Have you been to First or Second Beach in Newport? How are they?
I’ve mentioned Goosewing Beach in a previous thread, farther to the east (in Little Compton on the MA border). I walk there from the town beach and haven’t gotten a second glance when I wear thongs there. It’s always crowded at the town beach and there are always women in thongs there, but the people thin out pretty quickly once you’ve walked a few hundred yards.

Oh wait, never mind, Second Beach appears to be known to be thong-friendly.
