I have been wearing thongs and g-strings since 1987 -mostly to the same park at the local lake. This summer I have only worn small g-strings that barely cover my cock and balls. I know that I am legal if barely.

I have started walking from the main road through the parking lot along the paths to the lake to gets some steps in. It feels great to walk in just a tiny g-string in public. Over the last few days I have walked up to ten miles.

Saturday, a sheriff came up to me and told me he had a naked man report. He saw my g-string and said I can see you are covered and are legal. He apologized for interrupting my day. Today I was packing up to leave the lake after walking 8 miles and hanging out in my hammock. Another sheriff came up and told me he had a naked man report and they have to investigate. He looked at me and the pouch I had on was not transparent, even when wet, but at certain angles outlines my cock. He said I see you are covered. Did you make your suit, is it underwear. I replied I bought it and it was sold as a swimsuit. (not quite, N2N sells it as undies, but uses the same material on speedo type suits and calls it swimwear)

He then asked if I had ID. I laughed, “not on me, I do in my car”
He asked if I was leaving and he should see it. I asked if I was legal. He said yes. I informed him girls and women wear thongs where I was all the time, and if they could I could. Nobody calls you guys on women when they wear a thong. He told me I didn’t need to leave and I didn’t have to give him ID since I was legal, he just wanted it to put in his report and have on record.

I told him I would not be giving him my ID. He used his radio and started walking back. Another Sheriff met him on the path, they talked and then left.

I have had another few times over the years that a naked man report was man when wearing a g-string and once in my front yard while burning branches in a thong. That time a karen called and said a naked man was burning branches in his front yard. Two police cars ( 4 police men) and a fire truck with 5 firefighters showed up.

I was burning a week too early, The firemen used my hose to put out the fire. The police called in I was wearing a thong. He asked if I had ID on me- he looked at me and we both laughed. was told I was legal again but I had a weird sense of fashion and not to walk around the neighborhood.

Lately late at night I have walked around the block over 2 miles in just a string.

I feel like having the police respond to a naked man report is almost like a badge of honor.

How many other men have had the police called out because of a naked man report?

My swimwear preferences have never led to any encounters with the police, but I only wear swimsuits where they’re expected (beaches, pools, etc.) and I don’t push the limits as far as coverage is concerned. People around here cover up on their way to and from the beach. Thongs are a common sight near the water, but I expect there would be complaints if someone (of any gender) wore one around the neighborhood.

Today, I was at the State park beach where i have been going for decades. I went to fly my drone and get some shots from a different perspective while wearing a teal colored g string. Skimpy but visible and legal. I had just relanched after changing a lens filter and was deep into the screen. Dude came outta nowhere and said “Hi sir”. Scared the shit outta me!!! He said he had a report of a naked man and came to investigate. He asked if I was certified, licensed and had permission to fly in the park.I asked him if i could land my drone before we talked and he agreed. As I was bringing it down, he was talking on the radio. After i landed, he said, "I can see you are not nude, and the park says you are permitted to fly. Have a nice day, Sir. " Im not sure if the attire or the drone attracted the attention. First time I have ever been approached by a LEO. I ended up staying for 2 more hours and used up all 4 batteries. Not bad for a work day. Lol

No negative encounters here in Hawaii. I only had one encounter with a Conservation and Resources Office (sort of like the environmental police here in Hawaii), but he just approached me and reminded me to “leave no trace” (trash). He didn’t even mention anything about what I was wearing.

Doesn’t it feel a bit like people in certain situations and positions seem to want to talk to you when you’re wearing something “odd”?

There’s no real reason to be questioned by a law enforcement officer (LEO), but they’re just too curious not to do it. Might’ve just been a slow day.

Ha ha, it could have been. The thong I was wearing was pretty modest. There were people lying on the beach beside me who were completely nude, and he did speak to them about that (nudity isn’t legal here). Maybe he just didn’t want to seem biased against them or something. He was very nice, though.

On my last trip to Bird Island, which allows topless/thongs but not nudity, I was laying face down with my head towards the surf and and feet towards the dune when I heard a side-by-side (SxS) vehicle coming up fast. I propped myself up to see what was going on, and, as I did, the SxS slowed. It was the beach patrol. He approached and waved, then made a u-turn and left as quickly as he’d arrived. My friend that was sitting in the surf hollered out that someone must have reported me as being naked. She pointed out that it was hard to see the small strap on my g-string from a ways off, especially if I was on my belly with buns up.

I only wear thongs and g-strings where I know it’s legal. I’ve had several occurrences where a side by side came rolling up, pass me, and then turn around and head back where it came from. Can’t confirm it was about my suit but it’s very coincidental. Especially the number of times it’s happened and where I’ve been located. Never been stopped or asked and questions even when wearing something as small as a Skinzwear M55.

some of the most entertaining exchanges with LEO have been on Hollywood beach. They just laugh and shake their head and tell me to have a good day … not a mean laugh just surprised with some surprise rolled into it.

If I was wearing a thong or g-string where it’s not expected, like walking around the block at my house. I would fully expect to be stopped. I feel like if you’re doing that you’re taking your exhibitionism a step further than most appreciate or are comfortable with. Not saying it’s wrong, just saying the outcome is expected.

I have never got any remark from a LEO on a beach or other public place where you can swim or otherwise stay in swimwear.

There is 1 exception: in the local indoor swimming pool, they took me apart when I left the pool after one hour of swimming laps. I was my first visit to that pool. They told me in a very polite way that they don’t accept thongs, not for male and not for female, as they think wearing them in their indoor pool is not appropriate. They do allow thongs in their outside pool, but that is only open in summer. Since the pool is owned by a private company and they do not make a difference between male and female, I had to deal with it.
