It’s time to leave the Midwest. Going to the beach and enjoying the weather/sunny days is very important to me in deciding where to live. Would appreciate thoughts on which state (and cities) are the most thong friendly with Florida Texas and California being my top choices.
Thongs are more abundant in South Florida, but so are sharks, mosquitoes, alligators, hurricanes, and humidity. There are lots of beautiful beaches between the Florida panhandle and Texas but the aforementioned are also true. Texas has a lot of gulf coast but it’s not as progressive as Florida when it comes to men swimwear. It too has high humidity, hurricanes….
California is thong friendly but it’s hit and miss where the men feel comfortable sporting one. The water is cold and real estate is expensive. Traffic can be a nightmare on a daily basis. It’s my home state and although I could learn to put up with the humidity and the bugs the current politics of those other states keeps me happy on the West Coast.
My choices are in San Diego county: La Jolla Shores and Black’s Beach. North San Diego county is fine too but I haven’t been there in a while.
A few gems in Orange County: San Clemente and San Onofre State Beach, especially trial 6. Newport Beach and Laguna Beach are the best south of Long Beach. I’m curious to see how active Sunset Beach is in mid summer as it’s just so nice the rest of the year but I just haven’t gone there yet this year.
I’m on the Westside of LA so my go to beaches are north of Marina del Rey all the way north to Malibu with most common beaches visited south of the Washington pier, Venice and Santa Monica Beaches, and about 400 yards north of the Santa Monica pier. South Bay beaches are nice, specially Hermosa and Manhattan beaches.

I used to live in San Clemente, never had the courage to wear a thong. However, with my lifestyle change I can’t to wear a thong there next time I visit. I’ll either be north or south of the pier. I don’t like crowds.
I began wearing thongs at the beach on Desoto back in the late 1980s and now live in Texas. Florida is by far is the better choice for quality of beaches and depending on the area, is very thong tolerant. Florida also has some nice CO beaches. California is also good but the water is cold, even down South around San Diego,

I would definitely move to Florida. I used to live there for a few years in the 80’s and sometimes wish I was still there. Especially since I have become so comfortable wearing thongs and g-strings at the beach in my later years. I wish I would have made plans to buy a small house near the beach back then. I would be at the beach 7 days a week as a regular thong wearer. In the meantime, I try to get to any beach at least once a year. It’s definitely not as much time as I prefer.
