Follow your GPS for Desoto and use some of the tips listed in this thread. There are very few amenities at the park like renting a chair or umbrella. There are loungers near the fort you can use for free if you get there early. However, you’ll be right next to the Fort with crowds.

Thanks for the information. We’re trying to find a Turo that offers chairs and stuff to rent. If we don’t have any luck, we’ll probably just go back to Galveston since we can drive there. Appreciate the help.
The other day a guy was riding his bike down the beach. He looked really fit and you usually don’t see bikes on the beach since it’s illegal. When I looked back at him, he was wearing a light blue thong. About an hour later he was back in my area. He must have biked all over the park in his thong. I think it’s awesome that people saw him. Get the word out that thongs are normal at Ft. Desoto.
