what time and where on the beach
It was for the entire day where thongers generally go lay out which is just north of the actual physical Fort.
I was out there Sat. I didn’t see any big gatherings. The Fort area always gets packed but the rest of the Gulf Beach (Just north of the Fort, not North Beach) was pretty spread out. A group of 5 setup near me, 3 men, 2 ladies. 2 of the men were in speedos. When they saw me walk by they all waved. I had a lady stop to ask me how many steps I take out there since she saw me walk by her beach area several times. She complimented my tan and said nothing about my suit. It feels good to feel normal out there wearing a thong. I chatted with other regulars on my walks. I was wearing an aqua glow swim thong.

There were four of us there this past Saturday. One thing we did observe, however, was a noticeably larger number of individuals sunbathing nude. We were disappointed to see this, as we are aware that it has become an increasingly frequent issue at the Fort.
Honestly not surprising. Ive allways seen a handful of nudist at fds when its not particularly busy. Likely due to the fact the rangers only drive down a few times a day. Not ideal if they get caught as it brings attention to the nice area we have to enjoy but at the end of the day if they want to risk catching a charge thats on them.
Seeing nude is normal but don’t get caught, it’s not legal there. It’s great to see a topless lady in a thong. I know a few beach couples and see this quite often.

The beach was awesome! Yes there were many thongs and well let’s just say…I chickened out! I had my thong on under a regular suit! I just need some more courage. I don’t quite have great abs and I’d like to work on my legs and ass more!
I’ve lost 125 lbs in total I need to lose 42 more lbs to achieve my goal of 210.
While I’m feeling really sexy presently…I still want to be accepted!
When you first started did you go to a tanning salon or did you go to the beach with a really light toned ass?

Don’t worry about the perfect body. You lost a lot of weight, you’re not where you are at, I get it. I lost a lot of weight too but still carry a little extra, just go for it, who cares what others think. As far as tan, I just went for it too, just put on a good SPF like 50 and reapply often to areas that never get sun. For the first time sunning your buns I would recommend you keep it to a few hours. Don’t over due it.

I’m married with two kids they are also supporting me through this! My son although he’s happy wearing his 5” inseam shorts…lol it truly feels awesome for the love.

I have to agree don’t worry about having the perfect body. Feel sexy in your skin and know you have a body for a thong. I’m not anywhere near perfect. I can exercise 3 hours a day and eat a clean as I can, but not achieve the perfect body. I have what some would call a single pack (not close to a six pack).Thong wearing on a beach is more about confidence, self love and happiness. If you have those things no one really cares that you are sporting a thong. As a matter of fact most will see you as sexy, courageous and fun.
I’m currently sitting on a beach in a multicolor thong, happy to be where I am.

Please note that there is still very much a double standard. (To me that’s partly what makes it exhilarating). I don’t really understand how the thong rule could be enforced, but it is there because someone who is uptight and has some political pull got it on the books. I think it would be a really really uptight person to enforce it. It is considered illegal in State parks-technically- so I don’t go to those parks. Heading to Ft DeSoto this weekend- wife and I in matching suits. Please say hello

So generally the whole park (and county) are thong friendly but most like minded people go to the area just south of north beach. You’ll know it when you see a few cars parked along the road near the while “fenced” area. There is a path thru the dunes. Once you hit the beach, walk as far to the right as you like. There will probably be about a dozen people.

I hang in the secluded area like Sandman mentioned. Sat I had a group setup about 10 feet from me. All the ladies in thongs, guys in board shorts. They saw me and we struck up a conversation of how hot it is, nothing mentioned about the suit. DeSoto is very thong friendly, enjoy yourselves.

Question for the locals. Is this location easy for a non-resident of Florida to find? My wife and I are considering this area for our late August trip. We both wear thong swimwear and we’re looking for a new place to go. Also, we would be flying so are there any places to rent beach carts, chairs/loungers and umbrellas? We usually set up for a full day so need more than just a towel. Thanks.
