I’ve heard about some thonging events in Las Vegas. I am curious to know at which hotels these events took place. Were they “closed” events where thongs were permitted? Also, does anyone have a complete list of hotels in Las Vegas that allow thonging? I have been doing some research, and some people are saying they wore a thong at different hotels with no issues, but, when I contact the hotel via e-mail or phone or view their online policies, thongs are not permitted.
I also know some hotels have pool party policies with strict dress codes. For these events, I don’t think it would be permissible to walk from the changing room to the pool or stop at the concierge desk or towel counter wearing just a thong or g-string. If this is the case, is it permissible to enter the pool area properly dressed, then strip down to a thong or g-string at a cabana or lounge chair?
I ask these questions, because I would think some hotels, in Sin City of all places, would openly allow thongs. I have been to Las Vegas a few times, but have not had a chance to wear thongs at any of the hotels.
I welcome any information anyone on this forum is willing to share, so I may plan my next trip in confidence. Thank you.
Rio, Harrah’s, LV Hilton, which changed names, Flamingo Hilton, which, I am told, no longer allows thongs, Tropicana, which was torn down, Mirage, which was torn down or slated to be torn down, and Caesars.
I’m curious to know which said they are not permitted. I believe most allow them.
I wore a thong at Caesars and Luxor without any problems.
I did it a few times at Mandalay Bay, but someone complained. After speaking with the GM of the pool, he said they don’t have a policy against thongs, but if someone complains they have to suggest but not necessarily enforce no thongs. Not sure what that means, but we left. At the topless pool, it’s a non-issue.
We were at Cosmo this past weekend, and I went down to check out the pool. I wore my thong there, but got a stare down by the lifeguard, so I’m not sure. There were a couple of females wearing thongs. I was only there for about 45 minutes, but nobody said anything.
In Las Vegas, I have thonged at Caesar’s Venus pool, Luxor, Cosmopolitan, Encore, Resorts World, and the Artisan. The Venus Pool at Caesar’s had the best vibe, however, it’s been several years, so I’m not certain what the current situation is.
I certainly agree about the Venus pool at Caesars. It has been a while since I have been there too, though.
The Rio has always been great too. No issues whatsoever, but I stayed away from the shallow pool where you walk in. That is more for kids. The waitresses also wore thongs with sarong coverups.
@Bonzo69, you might be referring to an unofficial thong event that I organized at Caesars Palace two years ago that drew about a dozen attendees. Our thongs didn’t cause any issues. You could walk anywhere and everywhere in one. The dress code might only apply once you enter the hotel.
I’ve had success at Luxor, Excalibur, NYNY, Mirage, Caesars, and Venetian. I’ve also heard Bellagio is a good one too, but I’ve never stayed there myself, so I don’t have a personal experience to report on. Hands down, the best place is going to be Caesars. As mentioned, the Venus pool has the best vibe. It used to be a “European/top-optional pool”, but the top-optional part changed about 5 years ago. Still, it’s a really cool pool. It’s secluded from the other pool areas and is adults only.
The only place I got a hard no was from Flamingo. I stayed there back in 2019, and they had a rule that said “No Speedos”. I asked and they said absolutely no speedos or thongs for men, but women were okay. Needless to say, Flamingo has been dead to me ever since, lol.
Agree with that. There is certainly no reason to ever go to the Flamingo Hilton again. It used to be no issue. There are plenty of other pools in Vegas that don’t discriminate. The Rio is also a great place, although it’s just off the Strip.
At least there are plenty of other options. When it starts heating up in March or April, maybe we can congregate at one of the hotels @Rayze_Swimwear suggested.
Imagine he brings extra suits, and we’re all there having a good time. He can hand out thongs at the pool to curious bystanders.
@GuestGuest great idea man! I’m currently in the process of planning an event in Vegas, but haven’t nailed it all down yet. Thinking late spring/early summer. Stay tuned for details!
