Depends entirely on why and where I am wearing the suit…
For lap swimming, surfing and body surfing, it will normally be a Desmitt or Aussie Togs thong with lining and a drawstring. These stay in place and I think the drawstring is necessary. The last thing I want to do in these circumstances is be battling with my suit falling off.
Other times don’t generally require a drawstring or quite the level of ‘modesty’. If I’m sun tanning at the beach or around my pool, on my paddle board, maybe doing yard work or washing the car, I will wear unlined and/or smaller suits such as a string thong or g-string. I generally wear darker colours, so the see-thru issue isn’t such a concern.
Maybe the variety of situations would account for my large and varied collection of thongs and g’s…
