Has anyone been to McFaddin Beach along the coast in Texas? My wife and I are heading to Galveston sometime this year and thought about spending a day at McFaddin Beach. Is the regular beach (non-nude section) thong friendly? I’m sure the water isn’t great but we’ll mostly be sun bathing and walking.
It has been at least20 years since I went. It was nice being able to be nude but the beach was not very nice. A lot of trash and Texas coast water is usually very turbid from the high clay content of the soil.
Thanks TxMicro. That’s kind of what I was thinking. We might just stick to Galveston. Any other recommendations within an hour or two of Galveston?
Not in a couple of hours drive time. Keep in mind Galveston has numerous beaches and pocket parks. You’ll probably find more thongs, especially for men, towards the East Beach by Beachtown. A further drive with miles of beach, if you have 4WD, is Matagorda. It also is great for surf fishing or on the grass flats.
