I ordered a Muscleskins thong today.

I opted to go with the very skimpy thong back (instead of the larger whale back thong) but I did choose the 1 inch sides because I don’t like when the really thin sides roll over.

As for color, I selected the matte royal blue.

I guess I will see in a couple of weeks what it looks like and how it fits. I must say I don’t like the cartoon characters models on their website - made it hard for me visualize the product accurately - because the cartoon characters are so over proportioned.

Anyone else own one of their thongs? Do you like the fit and the quality?

I have a lime green thong with the poser pouch and 1/4” sides. I like it a lot, but if I ordered again, I’d prefer a wider thong back.

I order the smallest back thong with the thinnest sides,3/8. Have this is several colors and love it. I agree, the website is blah.

I have a Muscleskins Poser Thong with 3cm sides, which I ordered one size up based on the recommendation in the size chart. It fits well, but is not my favorite design. The Poser is a little more enhancing than I’d prefer. The Classic might be more to my liking, but, as you said, the lack of photos on the Muscleskins site makes it difficult to see how their suits fit on real people.

There’s a seam in the back, which is a little unusual. The Purple Power color I ordered doesn’t match where the fabric is sewn together. I expect that would be less noticeable with a solid fabric. The construction is a little sloppy compared to other brands; some of the stitching is off center or doesn’t quite line up where it meets. That said, it’s an okay swimsuit for the price considering everything is made to order.

Thanks Sam. I considered the poser but I live in New England and not sure it would go over well as a thong on a guy is already pushing it. However,I would definitely wear one on South Beach but I’m sure my wife would die of embarrassment!

Hopefully the quality is there..or off to Goodwill it will go (imagine shopping at goodwill and finding a guys swim thong?)

My experience is that the wider sides tend to roll more than the narrower sides. I’d been wearing the 1/2-inch sides for a few years, and switched to the wider sides (1-inch and then 2cm after the website switch) in recent years. The wider sides will roll up making them narrower.

I just ordered my first Muscleskins Classic with the whale tail as a slightly more conservative option to wear at the local pool this summer. Hoping it fits well.
