Is there a way to add a pic or Avatar to be displayed when posting instead of the colored circle with a letter in it ?

Discourse (the forum software) supports custom profile pictures. They are currently disabled.
The primary goal of the Thong Forum is to create a safe, welcoming space that fosters discussion. Based on what I have seen elsewhere, I worry that allowing pictures/photos could detract from that goal. There are downsides to prohibiting avatars, but, especially while the site is in its infancy, I think it’s for the best.
The Thong Forum will evolve as the community grows. I’m always open to considering changes in the future.

The avatar are small but they are unique. I guess you do have our name next to the initial.
I like the fact that this forum is about discussion, rather than trying to get people to look at one’s pics and comment on how hot the wearer looks. Goodness knows there are enough sites for that, but you’re likely only going to read comments comprised of random adjectives or expletives, emojis, or at “best” a sexual sentence. This forum truly promotes an opportunity to share our thoughts and experiences, and I think that’s invaluable. If people want to share pics, they can always connect on here and do it privately.

Well said. As a heterosexual male, I have no interest in compliments or suggestive pick up lines from other men.

@BruceThong while I have no doubt that people come here looking for alternatives to mainstream services, the Thong Forum is not going to be a photo/video sharing site. It is difficult to regulate that type of content; the megacorps have tried, but it’s still an unsolved problem. I also think photos would detract from the quality of discussion on the site.

I agree. There are TONS of alternative websites that already have very large collections of images where those so interested can post images and comments. I like that this site will remain on topic and image free.
