Hello fellow thongers. My name is Anthony, I’m 34 years old, and from Lafayette, LA. I am planning on going to Ft. Lauderdale, FL in mid to late August of this year. I am very athletic, being an avid runner, but also rollerblades, lifts weights, stair master, and elliptical. I am wanting to do a couple of early morning runs (around 4/4:30 AM) but would like to run in a thong along the strip, and be back in my hotel before sunrise. However, I am concerned about being reported to the police, or someone giving me problems. I have heard that Miami and Ft. Lauderdale are very liberal and free spirited. The beaches, years, but haven’t experienced that liberal/carefree attitude in the streets. If there is anyone in this forum that lives in Ft. Lauderdale, or even Miami, can you please elaborate on being in a thong outside of the beaches?
If you have to ask, I think you already know the answer. Even if it’s technically legal, there’s a high chance that running through the city in the middle of the night wearing only a thong will draw unwanted attention. I’d recommend wearing your thong at the beach or pool, and sticking to more practical attire for your runs.
There’s a time and place for everything. People happily line the streets to watch nude cyclists ride through Seattle once a year, but that same display at 4 AM on a random day probably wouldn’t be so well received.
You will be fine. No problem. I’ve seen runners and bikers in thongs along the beach strip. Do you know about SunSplash, the thonger’s weekend? We have a “thong walk” from the hotel to a designated area on the beach. No problem. Come join us the last weekend of July.
Context is everything. A group walking to the beach during the day—when others are out and about in swimwear—is going to be perceived differently from someone running alone at 4 AM in a thong.
Does running from my towel into the ocean count? Ha ha
