I feel a bit like The Most Interesting Man in the World when I talk about g-strings. “I don’t always wear g-strings. But when I do, I prefer the Skinz M31”.
Opportunities to wear g-strings are few and far between. I wear them at most once or twice a year, so why waste those opportunities on anything less than the best?
I’m picky discerning in general, but doubly so when it comes to g-strings. This one is too flimsy, that one doesn’t offer enough coverage and doesn’t fit securely, and this other one makes my butt look weird. Even Goldilocks would probably get fed up with me.
Although I’ve found a few g-strings I think I’d wear, the Skinz M31 is the only one I have actually worn. It’s a full-coverage swimsuit in the front with a small dart for a more natural fit that neither compresses nor enhances. The straps are made from the same fabric as the rest of the swimsuit. Unlike most g-strings, which meet in a “T” shape at the back, the Skinz M31’s straps come together in a “Y” that follows the shape of the buttocks. Like everything from Skinz, it’s well-made and, considering how infrequently I wear g-strings, it’ll probably outlast me.
Spending $49 for a tiny bit of fabric and some straps might seem crazy, but it’s in line with prices I’ve seen elsewhere. While I’m sure there are plenty of cheaper options from budget brands, I’d rather spend a little more on something I know I’ll wear. If you don’t own any g-strings or haven’t found one you like, the Skinz M31 is worth it.
Totally agree with you on Skinzwear Sam. Not cheap but they are of the highest quality. I bought two Stuffit G-strings earlier in the year, one black, the other neon lime, and these two are my two go-to thongs. So comfortable and they fit so well. Great choice!
I was wearing my skinz m55 yesterday. It covers the front but not by much. I’ll try the m31 next time. As for where to wear a g-string, if thongs are common on your preferred beach, does it make much difference if you wear a string?
I’m in agreement on the quality of Skinz suits and I fully think they are worth the price. Personally, when it comes to g-strings, I prefer the M55 however I have an M31 in the collection. I can see all your points as being valid for why you like it. It’s all about what we each feel the most comfortable in!
I wear the M55 in the backyard pool but not to the beach. I have 2 of the sheer so not hiding much. I just ordered the M31 for the beach I’m thinking it will become my favorite.
The m31 is my favorite. Just disappointed that it’s never a in stock item anymore with the new owner. I used to always have a few colors or patterns in stock.
I’l switch to the Skinz M-31 when I’m laying out at the beach. However, I wouldn’t feel comfortable walking around in it and I switch to a traditional thong.
