Surprised some people Monday

We received a mandatory evacuation off of Hatteras island on the Outer Banks and made the best of it by stopping in Virginia Beach for a day. We’ve been there a lot and have never had an issue wearing thongs. I mean, the female life guards practically wear thongs. Anyway … I’m just sitting there enjoying the day and two couples in their mid 50s to early 60s literally stop and stare. The women look, then don’t look. The men just stand there and stare. Eventually one couple starts to walk on and eventually the remaining woman and then man continue their walk. At one point I waved. Now I know what the monkeys at the zoo feel like? :joy: … I wish I had gotten up and asked them where they were from. Anyone else with a story with people being surprised to see you in a thong.

I think any of us that have worn them in public have surprised people. Lol.

Great story. Here’s a recent one of mine…

Two weeks ago, I was wearing a micro thong and swimming in the water on Lake Champlain. A gaggle of women walked out into the water and were chatting and having a good time.

As I started to walk toward shore in shallower water, they could now see I was wearing a thong. Instantly I could feel their eyes on me and I could hear them start to talk more excitedly. When I got to knee deep water, one of them turned to me and said with a big smile “You are very brave!” which I took as a compliment as I waved back
