Swimwear Preferences Over Time

I went straight from regular swim shorts to swim thongs and never had a bikini stage (so not much of an evolution over time). I definitely prefer smaller thongs in our pool and hot tub at home but keep it fairly conservative on the beach. My favorites for the beach are Desmiit, Skinz M67 and the regular Joe Snyder thong. I will probably break out a Joe Snyder Rio thong, Joe Snyder Bulge thong and Skynz M44 for the beach this summer though. All are really comfortable with a little less coverage in the front.

I’m similar… I’ve never owned briefs. Never tried them on really ever. Don’t really want to either.

I only recently learned to swim, so for the past 3 years my swimwear has changed a lot. Started with regular swim shorts because that’s all I had. Then wanted something smaller since I was a runner (retired due to injury) and used to wear 2 inch inseam running shorts. Went to Aussiebum square cuts. Realized I wanted even skimpier so I bought swim briefs since they were on sale, just to see if I liked less material. I already wore thongs and g string underwear for over 20 years so I quickly bought thong swimwear. I wore thong swimwear a couple times at my local gym until the manager told me somebody complained. While there isn’t a rule prohibiting them, he said if someone complains, he doesn’t want to have to deal with it and asked that I change to briefs or trunks. If I could wear thongs exclusively, I would.
