But I suspect at least a few of you are interested in trying thong swimwear and just haven’t taken that step yet, so you don’t have any experiences to share.

Forums like this helped with my confidence too. I was able to find many beaches that are accepting to thongs and especially to men. Believe it or not certain govts have a ban on thongs male or female. Myrtle Beach, SC arrested a lady for wearing a thong on the beach. It’s on YouTube, look it up. The forums also helped me to be aware of this and look up local laws. Thongs are gaining popularity in Florida. Plus I love hearing from fellow men styles, places, experiences. I still admire women because they can wear a thong to any beach in FL and most people don’t bat an eye. I hope this place helps you all to take the plunge and wear a thong at the beach, a pool, a water park, any public setting. This will show confidence and YES, it’s become and has been a thing for men to wear thongs too. Be confident, take the plunge, let us know your stories. I’m still new to this and love sharing experience. Been wearing a thong to the beach just over a year and I’m 52 years young. I have had so many friends comment on my tan, I’m a Greek-Floridian. My buddy accused me of using a spray tan because I’m so olive, LMAO!!! Be Brave Gents/Ladies!! Just Do It!
In summer 2021 I got a few thongs to wear under wetsuits because I used to go commando but more and more people were showing up at the surf/windsurf spots and I didn’t want to cause (or get into) trouble when I was changing.
In summer 2022, there were so many women in thongs at these surf spots that I decided to see what happened if I did the same. Answer: nothing. I was nervous the first few times, but now it’s the 4th summer and it’s fine. But… be mindful of your surroundings and always show respect. Don’t be that person who causes a backlash at your local beach.
All I can say is that if you’ve never worn a thong to the beach, you need to try it. It’ll change your perspective on a lot of things. I’m not sure if there’s anything more liberating than stripping down to nearly nothing and feeling the sun on your backside. … just try it.
All great comments. you have to just take the plunge and own it and be confident. No one else really cares, seriously. If you are apprehensive you have to just do it within your comfort zone. For anyone who has contemplated and have not tried it you will regret not trying it sooner. the liberation and freedom is amazing. Do your part and help make them more main stream!
