A few years back I didn’t even see women in thongs at Banff Hot Springs. Have they loosened up a bit?

Last time I was there, it was packed so I work a bikini suit. Many girls in thongs though. Time before that, I was.

I wore a thong for my massage, my massage therapist said nothing.

I did this once for a massage at a nice villa I was invited to stay at, and the woman doing the massage commented on it to say it made her job easier, which made me wonder if the guys getting massages left their board shorts on.

I’ve found pretty much every spa and hot springs in Portland is ok with thongs. Every time I ask a receptionist they say it’s totally fine for both men and women.

I haven’t been to Everett House as it appears to be primarily a nude spa and I’m more comfortable in a thong.

I’ve had the same experiences with wearing a thong during a massage. Have had a couple different therapists mention it’s actually better/easier. They can do better glute work without having to worry so much on having their draping stay in perfect place.

I’ve been going to the same spa for over five years. When I was searching for a place that did deep tissue and various types of therapeutic massage, I asked them if clothing was optional or underwear only. I’m fortunate mine is clothing optional but I wear a thong for some modesty. I also interview every massage therapist and let them know my fitness lifestyle and any pain points or areas I don’t feel comfortable. They have been 100% accommodating to my needs and I now have one therapist that works on me. Anyone that goes to a spa for therapy needs to take as much time and effort into finding a reputable establishment along with a therapist that suits your needs.

Just had a massage yesterday wore a Skinz M77, my therapist loved it and commented that it’s easier and more guys should wear them.

I have been to a couple of spas in Montreal, and they have been all thong friendly. Here is a list of spas I have been to.

I plan to try out a new spa called Spa Carré St Louis in Montreal. They have a student special and it is only $45+tax for the thermal experience. I will let you know if this spa is thong friendly.

Had a great experience yesterday at an indoor hot springs in Portland. Emailed ahead of time to ask if thongs were ok for men and women and got a quick response “of course no problem!” Upon arrival it was clear they are thong friendly since there were 3 women in thongs (out of about a dozen total people that I saw). I was the only man in a thong but felt totally comfortable.

Highly recommend indoor hot springs during the cold winter months. It’s clear that everyone is there to engage in self-care and relax, and no one cares about your choice in swimwear.

I have always been nude for my massages but the masseuse always drapes which I thought was unnecessary but guessed it made them more comfortable. It didn’t cross my mind that a thong or string would serve the same purpose as the drape and be a better solution.
