Heading to France in July and spending four days on the Côte d’Azur (Nice to Monaco).
I plan to wear a thong at the beach, although I’ll throw a brief in my bag as a backup. For those familiar with the area, what’s the French beach scene and social climate like these days?
While I don’t mind standing out, it s a foreign country and I want to avoid hostilities or legal issues while abroad.
I’m French, and I wear thong swimsuits in the south. I never had a problem. You will have some looks because it is not so common, but you will enjoy your thongs here. In general I try to avoid beaches in the cities, I prefer more wild ones, less crowded and more open minded but you can wear a thong everywhere if you want. Female wear thongs, sometimes topless too.
