Hi guys, im leaving for Turkey tomorrow and was wondering if anybody has been there before as it is my first time there. How do they react to mens thong swimwear as I plan to sunbeath in them there, I am staying at kleopatra bech in a hotel whit their own beach area.
In an Islamic country with pretty rigid ideas about masculine behavior? Istanbul port authorities literally just denied an entire cruise ship the right to dock because it was an LGBTQ cruise. Turkey might be “better” than some of its ideological neighbors, but is that really something you want to test? Good luck.
I just got back from Turkey. I heard about the Atlantis cruise ship denial while there. It is indeed mainly an Islamic country, so be respectful of the norms. I didn’t go to Kleopatra Beach, but I would first observe its general vibe before deciding on how to proceed. It is definitely super hot in general over there. I was able to get away with wearing Speedos, but I sadly didn’t see a fellow dude thonger in sight. That said, you’d need to be in the shade at some point to avoid heat stroke. But I did see women on the beach in both thongs and burkini co-exist!
I heard that Thong swimsuits are not allowed on the beach in Dubai, but I saw a girl wearing a thong bikini at the beach in Dubai on YouTube video. Maybe she got away with it.
So back to telling u guys about the trip. I visited Turkey and weaeing thongs over there is 50/50, I stayd at kleopatra beach, at that beach its fine to wear thongs, I spoke to a couple locals about it as they started a converastion about where Im from when laying at the beach. The groud rules about thongs are that at a known tourist beach its fine, but you may get some looks. Had a great time there, locals are friendly, food is good and the sun felt nice on my cheeks
So not to worry, Turkeys fi e aslong as u are on a tourist beach
I’m glad to hear you are not languishing in a Turkish prison. ![]()
