Yesterday my lady and I hosted a mother’s day pool party for our families. Neither my gf or I had the courage, or didn’t feel like it was appropriate to wear our thongs
Both of our families heard about our thong wearing and my mom was asking me when she could see it but I just don’t have the fortitude to wear a thong around my parents.
I’ll wear one around my kids no problem but around my folks, not a chance. As soon as everyone left we changed into our strings!
You guys have any similar feelings? Am I off base?
My family/friends know but only my niece has joined me at the beach and my ex. I used to not like being seen in my thong in front of familes at the beach. Butt, I’m past all that now. I just keep walking, if they look up and wave I’ll wave back.
There is not a chance in Heaven or Hell I would wear thong swimwear around my mother. She already has problems with me wearing short shorts and makes it clear that anything with less coverage would be inappropriate. It’s been that way all my life with her. My sister both knows and has seen me wearing thongs at the pool, beach and at Fantasy Fest in Key West, Florida. She also wears thong bikinis so it’s no big deal with me wearing a thong. Outside of my sister the rest of my family are extremely conservative, repressed, and prudish. They would give me extreme grief for wearing a Speedo, let alone a thong. Good thing I live several hundred miles away from them. Otherwise they would have to either get over it or disown me if they saw me at the beach.
It’s hardest the first time, follow by some teasing. But then again my family it’s very accepting. I intentionally like to stick it to some individuals that are too uptight even as we don’t have many of them.
I’m older and my parents have passed, but I doubt they would approve for a couple of reasons. Family comes with more baggage than friends. To me, it is a need to know situation. A sister I have vacationed with has seem me in thongs. She tends to have a loose tongue so she may have told my other siblings. One brother and his wife have seen me in what I consider a very conservative bikini. The SIL seemed shocked, my brother said nothing, so I assume they got over it. My private life is just that, private.
I’ll wear a speedo around my wife’s immediate family. Her parents aren’t ready for a thong. I don’t think they’d mind or be surprised. Difficult personalities and drama keep me from wearing one.
I´ve never worn a thong around my parents or my brother but I have on various occasions around my in-laws and brother in law. We´ve been on family vacations together and as I don´t really like to wear anything else than a thong to the beach I just wore one. My in-laws never said anything about it and I guess they just don´t care. We´ve been to clothing optional beaches with my brother in law and he always wanted to go naked while I left my thong on.
