Vacationing With the Family

It’s just budgeting. Same can be said about other hobbies and interests. As long as you prioritize and manage expenses, it’s your choice to buy as many when you like.

I recommend the Orocojuco thongs sold on Amazon. Modestly priced and well made. I think I have every color pattern.

A few years ago a sister who lives in the northern wastelands called and said she was tired of winter and endless snow. We are both in our 60s and had not seen each other in many years.
I invited her to come south for a beach vacation but I told her my preference in swimwear was minimal coverage. She said she didn’t care.
We had a very pleasant trip. I tested the water by having my morning coffee while wearing a thong. True to her word her only comment was that I am in good shape.
I told her my personal preference are just that, personal and private and she should take it as a compliment that I am open with her. We have traveled together a few more times.
Of course I recently learned she has told my siblings I wear “mankinis” with a “protruding front”.
I am irritated she ran her mouth but at the same time I am relieved they know.
Family can be weird, including myself. I don’t care what strangers think at the beach but family has baggage. I doubt I will wear thongs around the others, it just depends on the situation.

I also buy way too many thongs. Every time a new design, color, fabric, etc comes out I feel the need to buy it. I recommend PetitQ…very good prices and seem to be of good quality.

My two cents: So long as your family isn’t super prude and will freak out I say stick to some more “basic” thongs. You know…they basically look like a speedo from the front with a thong back. I wouldn’t immediately wear something extreme or super tiny. Then, just act like it’s normal. If you don’t make a big deal out of it, they are likely to limit their reactions also. Then, over time, work your way into smaller suits (on future trips).

As for wanting to buy all the suits….totally normal at least in my experience. Hence why my swimsuit drawer is somewhere in the 80’s for number of suits.
