I’ll have an opportunity to spend time in the Virginia Beach area this summer. What are the best beaches to visit where you can wear a thong (I’m not really interested in hiding out or walking to the far end of some beach and don’t mind a few stares)? In walking distance of some restaurants would be nice.
I go to VABCH yearly… thongs are technically banned, but I’ve been wearing them on the beach for at least the past 10yrs with no issues. I even paddle out and surf with a thong on.

Update: currently sitting on VB. It’s a beautiful 83 degrees with a slight breeze. I’m wearing a black Joe Snyder bulge tanga. We got here and I removed the shorts and my wife said, “I’m surprised you’re wearing that suit.” (I’ve been wearing my M55s from Skinzwear most of the summer at other beachs. I read VB is a little more conservative so I ditched the g-string for a thong.) So I thought she was wondering why I was wearing a suit with a little more coverage. 
a little confused I asked what she meant. She said, “I thought you would be wearing speedo.” I asked why and she said, “because it’s so crowded.” … I asked, “should I put my shorts back on?” She said, “oh, no” with a smile.

I go to VABCH every year… I have even surfed at the 4th st. Beach in a thong. I had a lifeguard tell me that technically in VABCH that thongs are not allowed… but, nobody cares anymore. Wear a thong! Normalize it!
