Swimwear evokes more emotion than most other garments. It amplifies everything people dislike about their bodies, and others are quick to judge what is worn to the pool or beach.
The phrase “Those who mind don’t matter, and those who matter don’t mind” often comes to mind when considering how people react to thong swimwear. Of course, reality is rarely that simple. We tend to adjust our behavior to be accepted by our community, friends, and especially, our partners.
What does your partner think about thong swimwear?
My partner at first was a little hesitant, just because it was different. But after a while she really warmed up to the idea of me in a thong and now loves it! Says my butt looks fantastic in them and even send me links to pairs that she would like to see me in.
her mentality is that its just clothing and if i like it and it makes me feel good and confident, then she likes it.
My partner prefers bikinis because he likes the tanline from them, so he doesn’t wear thong swimwear. He knows I like them and doesn’t have a problem with that.
I told my partner very early on that my taste in underwear and swimwear was not exactly “traditional.” We’ve been together for 9 years now and it’s never been an issue that I wear bikinis and thongs.
I have wore my thong at the beach around my nieces and a couple friends. No body cared that I wore a thong. One friend complimented my tan instead of the thong. I was cool with the compliment that the thong wasn’t the topic, it felt normal.
My wife fully supports my thong/g-string swimwear preferences. She loves seeing me walk to and from the pool/water and encourages it. Whenever we’re getting ready to go to the beach or pool she always makes a point to ask what suit am I going to wear and has favorites.
My wife had seen me in a bikini brief style a few times at the beach but once my confidence had grown I busted out a thong, she was a little surprised when I turned over to get my butt tanned .
She was used to me wearing thong underwear it’s all I’ve worn for years now but definitely didn’t expect me to go public. Now we both rock our thongs at the beach and love it
My wife has known since we were dating over 20 years ago. I think she was a little shocked at the time but now she actually enjoys seeing me in them, especially when I give her private Magic Mike dances!
She is not thrilled with clothing optional beaches where when I’m with her I wear g-string or thong. On regular beaches I compromise and wear bikinis ranging from very cheeky and small to just small and slightly cheeky. At home it’s different. I just started going to my long time thong beach in Rhode Island with a long time female friend. She had never been to this particular beach. She wore shorts and a t-shirt while I wore a tie side thong bikini. She was fine with my tiny thong. Hopefully she will be wearing a little less next season.
