Has anyone ever worn a costume to a party where the main attraction was your thong? Genuinely curious about other people’s experiences.
There’s a samba event where, in past years, people dressed in body paint, either matching or ignoring the theme. I ended up going as a devil, wearing a black Skinz thong, red body paint, and a cape.
The reception honestly surprised me. It was overwhelmingly positive, mostly from women and even from guys, which I didn’t expect. I won’t lie, I needed a little liquid courage to get through the initial arrival, but once I settled in, it was incredibly liberating.
It felt good to show a side of myself I usually keep guarded and not feel shunned or pushed aside for it. I’m curious how others have experienced something similar, especially in costume or body paint settings.
This is not beach or pool related, but it is a story of me wearing a thong swimsuit in public. I hope it is okay. If this post is inappropriate for the forum, please delete it.
Last year, I attended Toronto Pride wearing a thong and bottomless tights. Prior to attending the event, I saw a few people in their birthday suits at the parade site, so I figured a thong would be more than okay. The hotel I was staying was right next to the event, so I quickly went in to get changed into my ‘costume’.
I was able to blend in with the crowd, and no one gave me a hard time. There were a few spots where I managed to get some photos in my costume. Then, I spotted a girl in bottomless chaps and a white thong. She was dressed as a cowgirl. I approached her and asked if we could get a photo together since our outfits were so similar. She gave me a bright smile and said “Asses out!” Her friend took some photos of our behinds with my phone.

La Piscine - A pool party held during Montreal Pride in August. This event takes place at Club La Cite, the gym I go to. I have only seen photos of the party, and it seems thongs are quite popular there. They even host a butt-shaking contest, and many of the participants wear thong swimsuits.
I’ve never really dressed up like that but I’ve worn an American flag thong for July 4th pool parties before. People love it. Ive brought extra suits because I bought several for cheap online to give away to friends to whomever felt brave enough to join me.
I’ve not thought about this and usually shy away from festivals, parades etc… mostly because i’m a home body and wouldn’t enjoy it… but now that I see the likes of running man etc. would be curious to try, or in the local pride parade… but honestly I’d just want a nice comfy couch and for festivals a glamping facility
I’ve been to themed pool parties and wore thongs as my swimwear choice. One was a devil and angel theme and I wore a red flame thong with a red cape and devil horns. I’ve been to Fantasy Fest in Key West, Florida a few times. Thongs have always been a part of my costumes, from thong and mesh for Neon night to assless chaps and thong with a vest and cowboy hat. As well as many other costumes all with a decent amount of cheek exposure.
