Who’s going to thong at the beach this Summer?

I think thongs at the beach should be normal for everyone. But to get there people need to start wearing thongs at the beach to create social change. As a lot of people on here seem to be from the northern hemisphere I want to hear from everyone who will wear a thong to a regular beach or similar this summer (I don’t think wearing a thong to a nude beach pushes any societal boundaries but is a good place to start).

I agree wearing a thong to a clothing optional beach doesn’t push any societal boundaries. To make things more acceptable we need to wear our thongs on our local and favorite beaches. That is exactly what I do. 99.9% of my swim wear are thongs (a couple bikini style for lap swimming at the gym because they don’t allow thongs). This means if I am going to the beach I am proudly wearing a thong.

A funny side note, a couple days ago I got a text from a female friend telling me she ordered a new bikini. She ordered her first thong bikini. She sent me a photo of what she ordered and said: “I guess you are wearing off on me I have a thong like you.” Then yesterday she ordered another thong bikini for the summer. Apparently, I wear a thong enough to influence at least one other person. If you find me on a beach you will see me wearing a thong, and I’ll probably encourage you to wear one too.

If I’m at the beach I’ll be in a thong. And when I go on a cruise May 4 I plan on thonging on the cruise as well.

You’re a bit late to the party

My summer has ended being in the other hemisphere. But obviously you must live in a warm places if you are out there already.

I live in New England which is definitely not warm yet. But business meetings took me to Florida, so I’ll have been able to go out Wed Thu Fri Sat, which is nice.

Wed and Thu I was the only guy in a thong, as usual. Maybe today at Fort De Soto there will be someone else, other than the creepy guy who has been mentioned here previously.

I also live in New England and intend to go to the beach alone or with a female friend at least once a week starting in May. Always in a thong or g-string, the smaller the better. Even though the beach is on Block Island Sound the water never gets comfortably warm so I’ll skip going in the water until mid-June or so.

Another New Englander here.

Last year I wore thongs on roughly 20 beaches across 7 New England states and I intend to do so again this summer starting sometime next month.

This summer will mark my 3d year of wearing a thong to a public beach. Get out there, don’t worry about being seen, you can’t stop that no matter what you wear. When I walk the beach, I don’t stare at people and stay focused on my walk, but if I’m close or walk by someone I make it point to wave and/or say Hi. The more us guys get out there the more it will be accepted.

I certainly will be wearing thongs on my local beach this summer as I always do. I always get several new ones for each beach season. It is truly great to see the slight uptick in guys wearing thongs on the beach as well over the past few years or so. A long way to go to make them more mainstream but definitely heading in the right direction. I like to think of myself as a thong ambassador. The more you wear, the more normal it becomes

A thong is all I can wear as I’ve thrown out any larger swimwear. Thoroughly enjoy wearing a thong on a normal beach, it does wonders for my confidence and suntan. Recommended!

I’ve been wearing thongs at the beach—albeit a bit shyly—for over ten years. At first, I’d go to beaches a little farther from my city so I wouldn’t run into anyone I knew. For the past three years or so, I’ve been wearing them at the beach closest to my house—about a 5-minute walk away—where my neighbors, coworkers, and people I know go. I live in northern Spain. For a few years now, many girls have been wearing thongs, and since then I’ve been wearing them openly too. It’s a beach where people are pretty close to one another. I’m not embarrassed anymore. I sunbathe, swim, and walk around without any problems. It took me a while to reach this point of confidence. By the way—and I like this—with very few exceptions, I don’t notice any particular reaction from people to the fact that I’m wearing a thong. Sometimes I’ve heard or seen a positive gesture; on rare occasions, I’ve heard a negative comment, referring to the fact that there are children on the beach. Of course, this summer I’ll continue to wear my thongs at the beach.

I’ll wear thongs when I go to any beach (when the weather is good enough). That is here in Europe never a problem, but it is still rare to wear a thong for a man.

You guys waiting for summer? I wore one at the beach yesterday, went in the water too. Most of the complaints about California are justified but the weather is worth it.

I usually like it to be at least 20 degrees Celsius (68 in your language) which I usually have to wait for summer to get that.
