The forum is four months old today. It also happens to be the winter solstice (in the northern hemisphere), so I won’t be going outside in a thong swimsuit to celebrate , but it’s a good opportunity to reflect on how things are going and where we’re headed.
Motivation
There are other thong forums. Why create a new one? While some are ostensibly devoted to thong and g-string swimwear, they all, in my opinion, failed to serve the enthusiast community. I got the impression that others felt the same way, so I decided to launch this site.
Moderation
Lax moderation is the primary reason why forums fail. Discussion drifts off-topic. Post quality deteriorates. Participation declines. Eventually, the forum is a shadow of its former self, a ghost town inhabited by a few longtime members and the occasional passerby.
To ensure the longevity of this site, I edit and occasionally delete posts. On rare occasions, I ban accounts.
I’m not here to scold anyone. I would, however, like to share my thought process, so you understand how I’m operating the site. This post can also serve as a reference for new members that are less familiar with the forum’s history.
Community Standards
This site is a place to share your own opinions and experiences, and I expect that we hold ourselves to a high moral standard. Discussion about voyeurism, breaking laws, and indecent behavior is not welcome here.
Please do not write detailed descriptions about the physical pleasure you derive from the sensation of wearing a thong. Do not wear transparent swimsuits or “baggies” to places that require swimwear or go out of your way to trick people into thinking you are naked. Don’t share fantasies or speculate about what people around you are thinking. Stop before you post and ask, “If I said this to a person I just met, would they cringe?” If the answer is “yes”, consider censoring yourself.
Harassment of any kind will not be tolerated. Members of this forum should be kind and understanding, even when we disagree. If you have a problem with a post, flag it. Do not start arguments.
Editing and Deleting Posts
Most of the time when I edit posts, it is to fix typos, add paragraphs, or make other minor changes that improve the readability of the site. I might remove an off-topic sentence, replace crass language, or change slang to the correct anatomical terms for body parts. It’s easy for things to get heated when we’re sitting behind screens, so I sometimes edit posts to soften the tone. At all times, I endeavor to avoid changing the intent of the post.
If a post is wholly off-topic, doesn’t contribute to the conversation, or violates the site’s guidelines, it may be deleted.
Moving Conversations to Personal Messages
Personal conversations belong in messages. If a conversation in a public topic isn’t relevant to the larger group, it may be moved to a personal message.
Personal messages on any website that does not use end-to-end encryption between users, including this one, are not private and, while they are not actively monitored, can be flagged for review.
Account Bans
It is everyone’s responsibility to understand and follow the guidelines. If your first post violates the rules, it’s highly likely you will be banned from the site. I will not make an effort to correct anyone’s behavior if they can’t be bothered to spend some time on the site before participating. Repeated violations of the site guidelines may also result in the removal of an account.
Underwear
I have no doubt that many users of this forum wear thong and g-string underwear. Some may be looking for a place to discuss underwear and associated activities. This is not the forum for that discussion.
Mentioning underwear is not strictly forbidden.
I’d never considered wearing a thong swimsuit until my favorite underwear brand started offering them last summer.
Their swimsuits run large compared to their underwear. I recommend ordering one size down.
It is not okay to discuss swimming in underwear, especially if it involves exhibitionism.
I wear thong underwear in the hot tub at the gym, because the fabric becomes transparent when it’s wet.
I wasn’t planning to go to the beach that day, so I hadn’t brought a bathing suit. I stripped down to my thong underwear and went for a swim.
Posts that are primarily about underwear will be removed. Mentions of underwear that are not required to understand a post may be edited.
I got my first swim thong a few years ago and enjoy wearing thongs to the beach.
I also have a large collection of thong underwear.
If you have never worn a thong to the pool, beach, or in a public space where swimwear is the norm, you will likely find it difficult to participate in discussions on this site. If thong underwear helps you muster the courage to wear a thong to the beach, that’s great. Come back when you’ve finished that part of your personal journey.
Onward
Allowing discussion about related subjects might increase membership, but growth is not the primary objective. I believe there are enough thong and g-string swimwear enthusiasts in the world for this site to flourish without inviting other topics of discussion.
Thank you for joining this community. It’s comforting to know you’re out there, and I enjoy reading about your experiences.
You are welcome to message me if you’d like to discuss the site, and I encourage you to post your own thoughts here if you’re comfortable. I look forward to hearing what you have to say.
