Thong & G-String Friendly Destinations (Hotels, Beaches, Lakes, Resorts) in the PNW and Northern California

Hi all,

Are there any thong friendly destinations in the PNW (Oregon, N California, Washington, Central Oregon/Washington (Bend/Redmond 97), or Oregon/California/Washington coast that are adult friendly? (This could be resorts, hotels, beaches, lakes with more of an adult vibe)

We tend to thong outside at mountain lakes and rivers in the summer, and there are plenty of spots up high once the mosquitos die off (and some nice spots in lower elevation).

A lot of the hotels we find tend to be family inclusive, which is not the vibe we are into. We are not into naturist resorts.

There are some nice spas and saunas in Washington and Oregon, and many of the hotels in California Wine Country cater to adults and, at least in my limited experience, are thong-friendly. I would expect hotels in Oregon Wine Country to have a similar attitude.

I don’t do much lap swimming myself, but other members of the community have worn thongs at some of the pools in Washington without any issues. And most counties in the state do not prohibit thongs, so you can wear them at the waterfront parks.

When I look for places to stay, I try to find hotels that only or primarily have double-occupancy rooms. Even if they aren’t adults-only, there tend to be far fewer children than you’d find at places with rooms that accommodate families.

I wear a thong at Owen’s Beach in tacoma and haven’t had any issues. There are several lap pools I swim in too without issues.

I’ve enjoyed Baker Beach (San Francisco) a few times. Great views of the Golden Gate Bridge as a backdrop. If you’re visiting the weather can be tricky. At least for me. The far end is where you will see people nude. I wouldn’t hesitate to wear a thong anywhere on the beach.

Also several small places to be nude in and around Seattle.

I live in Portland and during the cold and rainy months like to hit up indoor hot springs. I’ve worn a swim thong at Knot Springs and Cascada multiple times. Both places have told me that swim thongs are totally fine for both men and women. Seen plenty of women wear thongs at both but I’ve always been the only guy.
