I’m still searching for that place where there are lots of guys wearing a thong poolside or on the beach. Wherever we go, I’m always the only guy wearing a thong.
Where is your favourite place to show off your thong and g-string collection?

So far, all the beaches in Volusia County, FL and two of the three wave pools in Pittsburgh. I am usually the only male thonger, but I don’t care and I have not had any issues to date. Yes, it would be great if other thongers, male and female, were present, but I’ll take what I can get.
I have already researched Fantasy Fest 2025 in Key West, FL. However, I probably won’t be able to attend until 2026. If I go, it will be for the entire festival. In the meantime, I plan to visit some beaches in MD, NJ, and NC.

South Beach around 12th Street is my favourite place for thonging. Lots of eye candy.
Fantasy Fest sure does sound like a fun time, doesn’t it. I could see myself outside all day in just my thong.
That’s what I plan to wear the entire week if and when I go.
There’s nothing more thrilling than spending three glorious days, wearing only a thong or g string, than at the thonger’s weekend, “SunSplash”. Hundreds of guys have attended over the years and enjoyed the freedom and thrill of it all. Plan to show up next Summer in Fort Lauderdale and experience this special event. You won’t be the only guy in a thong. You will be one of 30 or more at the beach and at the pool. What a great place to show off your collection!

There are a couple of beaches in Hawaii that seem more thong friendly than others. They include “Little Beach” on Maui, Kahena Beach on Hawaii Island (Big Island), and Beach 67 in Waikoloa on Hawaii Island as well. FYI, both beaches are also considered unofficial nude beaches, but just beware that nudity is technically illegal in HI (at any beach), hence “unofficial”. I frequent the beaches on the Big Island and occasionally see thongers at those beaches.

I’ve been to Little Beach and loved it, but none of the other beaches. Thanks for the heads up. I’ll definitely let you know when I make it back to Hawaii!

I felt uncomfortable on Little Beach, so I went to Big Beach and thonged next to the hill separating the beaches. I love Maui.

Could you elaborate on “uncomfortable”? It’s always good to know, since I’m from Hawaii. I don’t want to get into something dangerous. The last time I went to Little Beach, it was empty (really early in the morning).
Sure. The foot traffic heading to Little Beach consisted of creepy-looking dudes; it seemed like 99% of everyone walking there was a creepy-looking dude. I didn’t feel comfortable taking my lady over there, so I opted to thong at Big Beach.

I don’t mind at all. It really depends on the beach, though. If there aren’t many women in thongs, you really stand out, and that may not be so great.
Sometimes, in fact more often than not, I am the only man in a thong. It used to cause me some anxiety, but now, having reached the grand old age of sixty several, I find myself not really caring too much. If I don’t do it now, I never will. Life is too short to waste time thinking too much about what others may think. Go for it.

It’s definitely not San Diego. I’ve lived here for 16 years, and I’ve seen only three other guys in a thong during that time.

Seriously? With all that amazing weather? I wore one near Del Coronado several years ago and saw one other one. I find Florida much better than Cali in general.

From what I’ve seen on the internet over the last 20 years or so, Florida seems like the place to be. California, strangely, is the opposite, and it’s really disappointing. I would like to go to one of the SunSplash weekends in Florida someday.
