Vaux Pulse Swim Thong

I recently came across the Vaux Pulse Swim Thong while browsing International Jock’s “New & Unusual” section. The brand, which appears to be part of Timoteo, wasn’t one I’d heard of before, but the style appealed to me, so I decided to order a couple.

The Vaux Pulse Swim Thong is a sporty cut reminiscent of the discontinued Speedo Solar 1" (although, obviously, with less coverage in the back :peach:). It’s front-lined and has an internal drawstring. There’s a translucent label sewn on the front, no tags, and the side seams are about 1 3/8" wide.

It comes in four different patterns. I purchased the Black Star and Multi Splatter options, which are both attractive. The pattern isn’t aligned on the front seam. While that doesn’t make much difference for those fabrics, it is more noticeable in the blue polka dot and zigzag versions.

I tend to waffle between thongs with a more athletic fit that are suitable for any activity and skimpier styles better suited for sunbathing and light swimming. The Vaux Pulse Swim Thong is unquestionably in the former category. It fits securely and provides ample coverage. I’d put it in the same category as the Charlie by MZ Swim Thong, Todd Sanfield Shore Thong, and Rayze Swimwear Thong.

Charlie by MZ and Todd Sanfield haven’t released any swim thongs in their summer 2026 collections yet, and Rayze doesn’t offer sizes small enough to fit me, so I’m glad to see Vaux filling that gap. If you like the classic style, they’re worth a look.
