Would you tell your partner that you wear or would like to wear thongs?
So I’ve told, and shown a bunch of friends and lovers I was thong wearer, never a cross word or sideways look, in fact always a oh let’s see and usually wow… looks great

Everyone I’ve shared a bed with knows I wear thongs. Many more friends and co-workers also know.

Oh yes, I told my better half when we first met that I prefer and wear thongs and bikinis/speedos. They have have been supportive and encouraging from day one! My friend’s and co-workers (at least to my knowledge) do not know.

Anyone who knows me well knows I like thongs and such, especially anyone with whom I’ve been romantically involved. I’ve had a couple of people be surprised or maybe even tease me a bit at first, but it’s never been a deal breaker. If they had been truly unsupportive, it would’ve been a dealbreaker for me.
One of the saddest things I ever witnessed was in a Jockey outlet. A man saw some thongs hanging and said something along the line of “Oh, baby! How about I get some of these?” to his wife. He was smiling really big until she replied “If you buy those, you’re going to be wearing them by yourself.” His smile faded, and he didn’t say anything back. He may have very well been joking, but I still found it really upsetting. What if he really was wanting to give them a try (as I think most men do) and was testing the waters, only to be annihilated by her response.
A wardrobe preference shouldn’t be a dealbreaker, and if it is, you’re with the wrong person.

That’s unfortunate. The Jockey outlet near me carried men’s thongs for a while. I was buying some and told the woman working that more men would wear thongs if they would only try them.

From the very beginning when I decided to wear thong underwear 20+ years ago, my wife (married for 22 years) had no problem with it. She not only understood but also supported my decision to the point that if I wear a bikini brief she finds it strange. Personally, I think that you shouldn’t hide it from your partner, just be up front and tell them because at the end of the day it’s just a piece of clothing, it’s nothing illegal or to be ashamed of.

That’s right, in another post about the stigma that exists I explained what happens to many men simply for wanting to wear a thong. I’m pretty sure that the man at the Jockey outlet was one of those who was eager to take the step but was immediately cut off. Unfortunately, there are many like him, believe me.

My wife loves my thongs, especially at the beach. She enjoys the reactions they get, especially from women who seem to enjoy it.

It’s never been an issue with a lady. A couple of them were shocked but then liked it and starting wearing thongs again themselves.

They’ve known all along and support me wearing them both as underwear and swimwear. I’m very fortunate to have found someone so supportive.

Absolutely! If they truly love you, they won’t care. As mentioned above, it isn’t illegal to wear something. Embrace it!

Since I started at an early age, I think it’s been party of my wardrobe. My friends always made joke that I’m ready to strip which we have a great laugh. But all my partners have been supportive even a few has been cheeky with me at the beach. Guys tend to keep things private, but who cares. It’s simply a choice and I want to be comfortable if I’m watching a movie in a hoodie and thong.

I first introduced my wife to the idea of me wearing a thong swimsuit by wearing one under my baggy trunks. When they were wet, the black or navy blue thong would show through. Then, when wearing thin running shorts to tan and swim, I’d pull the leg of the shorts up to tan. Eventually, one day I slipped the shorts to tan. In a way, I not only got my wife adjusted to my new swimsuit style but also got comfortable showing more. I must admit, after tanning and swimming in thong, it’s uncomfortable to revert back to itchy baggy trunks
