I’m a Finnish guy from Espoo, near Helsinki, I’m married and have 2 kids. My choice for thongs got to a start about 10years ago when i bought my first thong underwear and about 3 years ago i bought my first swim thong. Thongs on the beach is almost never seen around here but I prodly wear mine just to show people that it can be a choise if somebody wants to wear them.

Please forgive my delayed response. I was traveling when you posed this question and just forgot to answer. Unfortunately, I do not know of any places in Atlanta. I’m part of a men’s pool meetup at which any swimsuits are acceptable, or none at all. Perhaps you can meet some likeminded friends who have a pool and join them. I’ve also gone to some clothing optional campgrounds that are open to female guests on certain weekends, but those are a couple of hours outside of the city.
Can’t say I’ve discovered anywhere yet. Luckily no one in my building has taken any issue yet. If anything I’ve had some positive reactions so far. The bugs lately have put a damper on things. Been trying to take advantage of the nice weather we’ve been having the past few days!

Hi guys, I’m Jeff (38M) based out of Orange County, CA. I got my first thong almost 20 years ago (underwear) and wore them through college. Ditched them for briefs when I graduated and stayed that way until fairly recently. In 2023, I picked up some thongs to wear to the gym for leg workouts, and have since switched to wearing thongs as my daily underwear.
I took up lap swimming last year and have been doing so in swim briefs, but I’m now curious about thong swimwear for swimming laps. This year, I made the leap from short shorts to speedos for sunbathing by the pool. Next step is wearing a thong for my swim workouts, but I haven’t made that leap yet. I’m finding the enthusiasm here inches me more and more to taking the leap. For now, I’m just happy to be among fellow thong enthusiasts
I need to check. I swim laps at my gym (LA Fitness) before work. There’s another guy there that does a short swim workout right when the gym opens, and he’s usually in really cheeky briefs and occasionally a thong. We shared a lane this morning, but I was too focused on my workout to chat with him. And he’s usually gone before I even finish my warmup. He hasn’t been kicked out yet, so I assume it’s allowed.
I suppose my only hangup is that LA Fitness usually structures their pool with a big window that looks out into the main gym area - usually the front desk/entrance. I’d feel so self conscious doing flip turns and flashing my bum to everyone walking by
I’ve never asked my LA fitness if I can wear a thong, I just assumed it would be a no lol. Though, the other day I saw a woman in a one piece that had the bottoms pulled up into a thong, so I’m not sure. I’ll ask and find out haha.
Thats true. I go to LA fitness as well and most of the windows are on the exterior but there a few looking out over the floor. Someone would need to be right next to the window to see what you are actually wearing in the pool. I have never had any issues but generally stick to a thong on off peak hours. Some LA Fitness locations have better layouts than others. generally you can hop right in the pool right out of the locker room. The hot tub is usually a differebt story with most being located right by the club entrance.
Hi all. 49 year old male, and currently marooned in northeast Ohio. I’ve been thonging for quite some time (I bought my first thong in the 1990s, and my first swim thong in 2000). Mostly go to Lake Milton and West Branch, where I’m nearly always the only thonger, male or female. Sometimes go to Headlands in Mentor.
Hello everyone! Greetings from Turku, Finland. I’ve been following the discussions here for quite some time, and after reading many threads I felt it was finally time to join in and contribute myself.
I’ve been wearing thong swimwear at the beach and for sunbathing since I was 17 (I’m 37 now). My very first pair was bought during a family holiday in Mallorca (might share that story later). Since then, I’ve collected several more. These days, it’s the only style you’ll find in my underwear and swimsuit drawer. Fortunately, my wife doesn’t mind, even though she’s not much of a beach person herself.
Turku has plenty of beautiful beaches and outdoor pools, though I can honestly say I’ve only seen a handful of other men in thongs during my years here. That doesn’t stop me from enjoying them, though. And besides, Finnish people generally mind their own business, so nobody really cares what you wear, least of all on the beach.
From what I can tell, there’s at least one other Finn here besides me. But I’m looking forward to connecting with you all and sharing experiences here!

Hi, nice to see other finns here😁 Serena, no i havent thonged there but it is a thong friendly spa tho, a few years ago when i didnt have the guts to thong around myself i had a friend whos “polttarit” we had at serena sap and cabbins, who wore thongs at the spa and no one commented on any level, a few others stared and smiled but nothing more. So if u are about to go there its up to u if u want to thong😁
But as the subject is open i want u to know that there are others of us thongers in espoo and helsinki, I am actualy trying to set a thongday for us somewhere along the summer so if u are intrested just let mw know and we can exchange thougts about it😁

All the beaches in Turku are thong‑friendly, but I personally prefer Ruissalo and Ispoinen. Samppalinna is also great if you don’t feel like leaving the city centre. Turku and its beaches are well worth a visit.
